About Acetutor
AceTutor was founded in Dunedin in early 2016 with the aim of enabling students to reach their full potential. Being completely student-run, we are going through exactly what you are, and know how to put you in a position to achieve the best results you can.
We believe each student has the ability to reach the highest level with the right guidance, and it is our goal to provide that to the students who work with us.
Over the past two years, our talented tutors have helped over 600 students ace their subjects, providing a high level of insight and knowledge. We believe they are our greatest asset, and it shows in how we do business at AceTutor.
We offer private, group, and workshop tutorials all depending on how you work best, with the content presented in a thorough but easily digestible way, and enjoy answering any questions you have up until your exams.
Whatever you want to achieve, AceTutor provides you with the best quality tutoring and helps fulfill your potential as a student.
Why did AceTutor come about?
We believe in helping students do the best they can, and not settling for any less.
Having attended many tutorials and crash courses, we found that the tutoring was aimed not at helping students truly excel, but rather to barely scrape by.
Often the amount of content in subjects is extremely overwhelming, and we had to grind through countless hours of lecture notes and practice examples on our own, without the quality tuition necessary for our goals.
Our amazing group of tutors all understand these difficulties, and now want to offer the level of tuition they wish they could have had. At AceTutor, we are committed to helping you achieve whatever level you are striving for.
What is a workshop and how will it help me?
A workshop is a tutorial that prepares you for your exam, with all the content and explanation required to succeed at the highest level. Because of this, we say our workshops are beneficial for everyone.
At AceTutor, we believe our workshops cover content more comprehensively than other tutoring businesses, and better enable you to reach an A or A+ result.
We think our booklets are really great. Every workshop includes a complete set of notes and diagrams, outlining what material to focus on while studying.
The notes are clear, concise, and have been refined by us in order to allow students to devote time to the content that is important. They can also be taken home and used for revision purposes.
During a workshop, the notes are thoroughly explained by one of our enthusiastic tutors, who incorporates their high level of knowledge and insight, and encourages questions throughout the tutorial to maximise your ability to learn.
Are workshops just for students who have missed lectures?
Not at all. We appreciate that sometimes students can’t attend all lectures, so we provide a great way of catching up.
However, AceTutor’s workshops are a great way for high achieving students to test their knowledge before a looming exam and an opportunity to ensure they haven’t missed any content while studying.
Overall, we believe anyone will benefit from our team’s expertise, whether it is a private tutorial to brush up some details, or a full crash course before your final exam.
